Role & responsibilities We are looking for an experienced and strategic Business Development Manager with expertise in the HoReCa (Hotel, Restaurant, and Catering) industry to lead our business growth efforts within the domestic market. This role requires a seasoned professional who has a proven track record in sales leadership, client acquisition, and market expansion, and is capable of managing a sales team to meet aggressive targets. Key Responsibilities: Develop Growth Strategy: Focus on both financial growth and customer satisfaction by identifying new business opportunities and creating strategic plans for expanding market share. Client Acquisition & Relationship Building: Identify new markets, clients, and customer needs. Arrange and conduct meetings with prospective clients, ensuring strong rapport and long-term relationships. Product & Service Promotion: Effectively promote and demonstrate the companys products and services, addressing and predicting client requirements to build long-term business partnerships. Sales Tracking & Reporting: Maintain accurate records of sales, revenue, invoices, payments, and other key performance metrics. Regularly report on sales performance to senior management. Sales Team Leadership: Manage, lead, and motivate the sales team to achieve monthly, quarterly, and yearly targets. Coach and develop internal high-potential employees, as well as hire new talent to strengthen the sales team. Customer Satisfaction & Retention: Ensure exceptional customer service by building relationships and identifying opportunities for upselling and cross-selling within existing accounts. Strategic Planning: Collaborate with the company's director in strategic planning and management to expand the business, focusing on the HoReCa sector. Travel & Client Meetings: Frequent travel (within India) to meet existing and new clients, ensuring active engagement and expansion of business relationships. Confidentiality & Reputation Management: Protect the organizations value by maintaining confidentiality and enhancing the companys reputation by taking ownership of new and different requests. Preferred candidate profile Proven Experience: At least 3-5 years of experience in a senior sales leadership role, ideally within the Hotel & Institutional industry. Sales Track Record: Demonstrable success in driving sales and revenue growth in the HoReCa or similar industries. Product Knowledge: Strong proficiency in textiles (fabrics, terry, carpets, uniform garments), with an in-depth understanding of client needs within the industry. Communication & Negotiation Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English, Hindi, and Kannada. Ability to negotiate effectively and build rapport with clients. Team-Oriented: A collaborative team player who thrives on helping others succeed and fostering a high-performance environment. Strategic & Analytical: Strong strategic thinking and problem-solving abilities, with the capability to take hands-on approaches when necessary. Market Knowledge: In-depth knowledge of the HoReCa market and trends. Education: Graduate or Master's degree in Business Administration, Sales, or a related field. Transport Requirements: Must have a personal 2-wheeler or 4-wheeler for frequent client visits. Location: Candidates must be based in Bangalore or New Delhi.
