Staff and daily operations Direct and supervise warehouse staff, assigning tasks and managing schedules. Oversee daily activities like receiving, storing, picking, and shipping goods. Monitor productivity and performance metrics, providing feedback and conducting evaluations. Hire and train new employees on procedures and safety protocols. Inventory and stock Ensure inventory accuracy through regular cycle counts and audits. Manage and monitor stock levels, investigating and resolving discrepancies. Oversee the receiving and storing of incoming goods, verifying their accuracy and condition. Safety and compliance Implement and enforce safety and security procedures to create a safe working environment. Ensure the warehouse is clean, organized, and compliant with health and safety regulations. Conduct regular inspections of the warehouse and its equipment, and ensure equipment is maintained. Efficiency and problem-solving Analyze processes to identify inefficiencies and implement improvements to boost productivity. Coordinate with other departments, such as customer service and logistics, to ensure smooth operations and timely fulfillment. Manage warehouse paperwork and administrative tasks.
