Overview:

Key Responsibilities:

  • Imaging Services:

    Perform a variety of radiological exams and procedures, including but not limited to ultrasounds, MRIs, CT scans, and X-rays, specifically tailored for maternal and neonatal patients.
  • Interpretation & Reporting:

    Accurately interpret imaging studies and provide detailed, clear, and timely reports to referring physicians, focusing on conditions related to pregnancy, fetal development, and pediatric care.
  • Collaboration:

    Work closely with obstetricians, neonatologists, pediatricians, and other healthcare providers to comprehensively manage high-risk pregnancies and neonatal conditions.
  • Consultation:

    Provide consultative support for maternal and fetal medicine specialists, especially in cases requiring advanced imaging or intervention.
  • Patient Care:

    Prioritize patient-centered care, ensuring high levels of satisfaction and comfort for both mothers and their infants during imaging procedures.
  • Quality Assurance:

    Participate in quality improvement initiatives and maintain compliance with hospital policies and regulatory standards.
  • Education & Training:

    Contribute to the education and training of medical staff, residents, and students, sharing expertise in radiology related to obstetrics and pediatrics.
  • Research & Development:

    Engage in clinical research and contribute to the hospitals academic endeavors, including presenting findings at conferences and publishing in relevant medical journals.

Qualifications:

  • Education:

    Doctor of Medicine (MD) with specialization in Radiology from an accredited program.
  • Board Certification:

    Board certified in Radiology; subspecialty training in Pediatric Radiology or Maternal-Fetal Medicine is preferred.
  • Experience:

    Minimum of 3-5 years of clinical experience in a maternal and child health setting, particularly in high-risk obstetrics and neonatal care.
  • Skills:

    • Proficiency in a wide range of imaging techniques and technologies relevant to obstetrics and pediatrics.
    • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams.

  • Licenses & Certifications:

    Valid medical license and certifications required to practice in the state.

Working Conditions:

  • Must be able to work in a fast-paced, high-stress environment, particularly during emergencies or critical situations.
  • Flexibility to work on weekends, holidays, and on-call as necessary.
