Job Summary: We are seeking a creative, collaborative, adaptable Data Analyst to join our agile team of highly skilled data scientists, data engineers, and UX developers. Data Analysis is responsible for creating business requirements, data requirements, data mapping, and testing to design and build Data Lakehouses, Data Warehouses, and Data Marts. This role requires extensive SQL experience in writing complex queries across multiple tables, data analysis and profiling skills for the creation of the mapping documents, and further discussion with Data Modelers for the necessary table designs. The Data Analyst will use strong verbal and written communication skills to work with various clients, gather and formulate business requirements and translate the same to the technical team. The Data Analysis will also perform Source-to-Target mapping. Key Responsibilities: Source to target mapping. Creating business requirements including functional and technical requirements. Creating test plans, test cases, and test scripts. Creating dashboard requirements. Creating business and technical metadata Operational systems analysis, data profiling, and data quality checks Work with our clients to gather business requirements, and develop user stories, data mappings, and other artifacts that support solution design, development, and testing. Perform queries, analyses, and evaluations of data in operational systems and data lake house environment. Uses data mining and data analysis tools to isolate and extract data based on specific parameters and monitors toll transaction data flow to identify any inconsistencies. Gather, review, and analyze business and industry data, including KPIs, financial reports, and other key metrics using data analytics tools. Use the right combination of tools and frameworks to turn sets of disparate data points into objective answers to advise your team as they make informed decisions. Analyzes data from both internal and external sources to produce insights, identify trends or anomalies, and support business decisions. Create reports, dashboards, and visualizations to understand business performance. Collaborates with development teams to design business intelligence solutions to facilitate data gathering, storage, retrieval, and consumption. Assess options for process improvement, including business process modeling and mapping. Identify automation opportunities and analyze process issues and bottlenecks and make improvements. Develop and maintain reporting tools. Provide analytical and business support for field operations. Must Have: Bachelor’s degree, preferably in a technical discipline (Computer Science, Mathematics, etc.), or equivalent combination of education and experience. Minimum of 5+ years of data analyst experience. 7+ years of SQL experience with a solid understanding of relational databases and normalization. 6+ years of Excel experience, including functions and formulas. Technical expertise in data modeling, data mart design, and ability to extract data from multiple sources. Strong technical writing experience (reports, SOPs) using MS Office, Visio, SharePoint, or similar tools. Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills. Strong oral and written communication skills. Ability to work collaboratively and proactively across multiple projects. High attention to detail and flexibility to adapt to client requirements. Good-to-Have: Experience with cloud and big data platforms (AWS, Azure, SQL Server, Data Warehouse, Azure Data Warehousing, Databricks, Big Data). Hands-on experience with BI tools such as Tableau and QlikView. Willingness to learn new tools, skills, and cross-train.
