The role requires strong expertise in bioconjugation chemistry, biomolecule analysis, and collaborative research workflows. The Senior Chemist will support discovery and development programs by executing experiments, generating high-quality data, and coordinating closely with cross-functional scientific teams. Key Responsibilities ADC (Antibody-Drug Conjugate) Development Contribute to the design and optimization of bioconjugation strategies for antibodies with chemical linkers and payloads. Perform analytical characterization of ADCs, including assessment of conjugation efficiency, heterogeneity, and stability. Support in vitro evaluation of ADC candidates through collaboration with cell biology and bioassay teams. Document experimental findings, maintain batch records, and support development reports. Peptide & Protein Chemistry Assist in synthesis, modification, and purification of peptides and recombinant or engineered proteins. Characterize peptides/proteins using biochemical and biophysical methods (HPLC, LC-MS, SDS-PAGE, UV-Vis). Support formulation and stability studies to evaluate product behavior under various conditions. Troubleshoot experimental challenges and propose improvements to workflows. Oligonucleotide Chemistry Support chemical modification or conjugation of oligonucleotides for therapeutic or diagnostic applications. Perform purification and analytical characterization of oligonucleotides using appropriate chromatographic and spectrometric techniques. Collaborate on structure–function evaluations, stability assessments, and impurity analysis. Documentation & Compliance Maintain accurate experimental records, reports, and inventory logs according to GLP/GMP standards. Follow all safety, biosafety, and quality guidelines within the laboratory. Support regulatory documentation efforts by providing analytical data and experimental summaries. Qualifications & Experience M.Sc. / M.Tech / Ph.D. in Chemistry, Biochemistry, Biotechnology, Chemical Biology, or related field. 3–8 years of experience in bioconjugation, peptide chemistry, protein chemistry, or nucleic acid chemistry (industry or advanced academic research). Hands-on experience with analytical tools such as HPLC, LC-MS, UV-Vis spectroscopy, electrophoresis, and related platforms. Strong understanding of biomolecule behavior, stability, purification, and characterization. Excellent problem-solving, documentation, and communication skills. The role involves hands-on laboratory work, data analysis, and close collaboration with multidisciplinary teams in molecular biology, biochemistry, and pharmacology Key Responsibilities Monoclonal Antibody (mAb) Development : Design, generate, and screen antibodies using hybridoma or recombinant expression technologies. Identify and validate antigen targets for therapeutic antibody generation. Characterize antibodies for specificity, affinity, and stability using biochemical and biophysical assays (ELISA, SPR, flow cytometry, etc.). Express and purify antibodies from mammalian systems and evaluate functional activity in vitro. Antibody–Drug Conjugate (ADC) Development Perform conjugation of antibodies with cytotoxic payloads using optimized linker technologies. Characterize ADCs for drug–antibody ratio (DAR), stability, and potency through analytical and functional assays. Conduct in vitro efficacy and toxicity studies to evaluate ADC performance. Collaborate with process development and CMC teams for scale-up and optimization. Biomarker Discovery and Development Identify and validate predictive, pharmacodynamic, or diagnostic biomarkers through omics-based approaches. Develop and validate biomarker assays (ELISA, qPCR, IHC, multiplex platforms) for preclinical and clinical studies. Analyze biological samples to correlate biomarker expression with therapeutic response. Contribute to translational research strategies supporting patient stratification. General Responsibilities Maintain accurate experimental documentation and prepare technical reports or presentations. Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams including chemistry, pharmacology, and bioinformatics. Ensure compliance with GLP/GMP, biosafety, and ethical standards. Stay current with emerging trends in antibody engineering, ADC technology, and biomarker discovery. Qualifications & Experience Education: M.Sc. / M.Tech / Ph.D. in Molecular Biology, Biotechnology, Biochemistry, or related life science discipline. Experience: 1–5 years of relevant experience in antibody or ADC research (academic or industry). Skills: Strong hands-on experience in molecular cloning, protein expression, purification, and assay development. Familiarity with analytical techniques (HPLC, LC-MS) and cell-based functional assays. Excellent data interpretation, communication, and teamwork skills.
