Quantitative Data Analyst

You are a highly motivated Quantitative Data Analyst who will be a crucial part of the dynamic team at NuQuants, a division of Zivanta Analytics in Kolkata, India. Your primary responsibility will involve conducting quantitative analysis and supporting valuation processes within the US banking sector using advanced quantitative techniques and industry-standard methodologies. Your daily tasks will include performing detailed analysis and modeling of US Banking products, collecting, cleaning, and preprocessing large datasets from various sources to ensure data quality, and integrity. You will also be responsible for developing and implementing statistical models, machine learning algorithms, and data mining techniques to analyze data effectively. As a Quantitative Data Analyst, you will generate and visualize insights from data analysis, creating detailed reports and presentations for stakeholders. Additionally, you will utilize advanced programming skills, particularly in Python, to implement systems and adhere to general software engineering principles. You will design and implement improvements to current reporting and/or database structures, and interface directly with clients and the platform engineering team to automate processes for daily and historical calculations. It is essential for you to stay current with industry trends, regulatory developments, and best practices related to valuation and risk management. You should hold a Master's or Bachelor's degree in Computer Sciences or a quantitative field and have proficiency in Python/R/SQL programming with a focus on financial data management. Strong proficiency in quantitative analysis, statistical techniques, and a keen interest in financial markets are also required. Preferred qualifications include excellent communication skills, attention to detail, analytical mindset, ability to work in a fast-paced, collaborative environment, organizational and project management skills, self-motivation, and a drive to quickly gain expertise in new subject matters. You should be flexible to work with teammates across different time zones and have the willingness to operate from the office premises in Kolkata as per the hybrid work schedule.
