Quantitative Data Analyst

As a Quantitative Data Analyst at NuQuants, a division of Zivanta Analytics, you will be an integral part of our team in Kolkata, India. Your role will involve conducting detailed quantitative analysis and supporting valuation processes for US banking products. By utilizing advanced quantitative techniques and industry-standard methodologies, you will contribute to strategic decision-making in the financial sector. Your responsibilities will include collecting, cleaning, and preprocessing large datasets from various sources to ensure data quality. You will develop and implement statistical models, machine learning algorithms, and data mining techniques to analyze the data effectively. Furthermore, you will generate insights from the data analysis, create detailed reports, and deliver presentations to stakeholders. It is essential for you to have a background in Computer Sciences or a quantitative field such as Finance, Business, Mathematics, Data Science, Statistics, Economics, or Engineering. Proficiency in Python, R, and SQL programming is required, with a focus on financial data management. Strong quantitative analysis skills and a keen interest in financial markets are also crucial for this role. Preferred qualifications include excellent communication skills to convey technical concepts clearly, attention to detail, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative environment. You should be self-motivated, proactive in problem-solving, and willing to quickly gain expertise in new subject matters. At Zivanta, we operate on a hybrid work schedule, with 3 days on-site in Kolkata and 2.5 days working from home.
