Description
Key Responsibilities: Quality Control & Assurance: Develop, implement, and maintain quality control procedures to ensure that solar modules meet established specifications and industry standards (e.g., IEC, UL, ISO). Inspection & Testing: Conduct inspections of raw materials, in-process components, and finished solar modules to ensure they meet quality requirements. This includes electrical performance tests, visual inspections, and mechanical assessments. Root Cause Analysis & Problem Solving: Investigate quality issues, perform root cause analysis, and implement corrective and preventive actions (CAPA) to resolve product defects or manufacturing inefficiencies. Collaboration with Production Teams: Work closely with production, engineering, and maintenance teams to identify quality improvements in the manufacturing process, minimize defects, and increase process efficiency. Documentation & Reporting: Maintain detailed records of quality inspections, audits, and test results. Prepare and present quality reports to management, highlighting trends, issues, and opportunities for improvement. Continuous Improvement: Drive continuous improvement initiatives, utilizing methodologies like Six Sigma, Lean, and Kaizen, to enhance product quality and reduce waste. Supplier Quality Management: Evaluate and monitor the quality of incoming materials from suppliers, ensuring that raw materials meet the necessary specifications for solar module production. Compliance: Ensure all products comply with industry standards, safety regulations, and environmental laws related to solar module manufacturing. Training & Development: Provide training to production and quality control teams on quality standards, testing procedures, and best practices to maintain a high level of awareness of quality principles. Non-Conformance Management: Manage non-conformance reports (NCRs) and ensure proper resolution, ensuring that corrective actions are taken and that the quality of products remains uncompromised. Skills & Qualifications: Bachelors degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related field . Minimum of 2-4 years of experience in quality engineering, preferably in the solar module manufacturing or semiconductor industry. Strong knowledge of quality management systems (QMS) , ISO 9001 , and other relevant industry standards. Experience with statistical process control (SPC) , root cause analysis , and failure analysis tools such as 8D, Fishbone diagrams, FMEA, etc. Hands-on experience with electrical and mechanical testing equipment used in solar module manufacturing (e.g., solar simulators, I-V curve testers, EL testers, etc.). Familiarity with reliability testing and performance evaluations for solar modules. Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and make data-driven decisions. Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail, with a proactive approach to identifying quality issues. Familiarity with automated inspection systems and manufacturing process optimization . Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and quality management software (e.g., QMS, ERP systems). Strong communication skills to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams and report quality metrics to management.
