Job Summary

The Quality Control Officer will be responsible for ensuring that all Furniture cum Mattress products meet the required quality standards before, during, and after the production process. This includes inspecting raw materials, in-process checks, and final product inspection to guarantee conformance with design specifications, durability standards, and customer requirements.

Key Responsibilities

• Raw Material Inspection
• Inspect incoming wood, hardware, upholstery, and other raw materials for quality, defects, and compliance with specifications.
• Approve or reject materials and report discrepancies to the Procurement or Production team.
• In-Process Quality Checks
• Monitor production lines to ensure adherence to quality standards at every stage (cutting, joining, polishing, upholstery, etc.).
• Perform dimensional, strength, and finishing checks during assembly and fabrication.
• Final Product Inspection
• Conduct thorough inspections of finished furniture for surface finish, structure, measurements, joinery, and overall aesthetics.
• Ensure proper packaging and labelling before dispatch.
• Quality Documentation & Reporting
• Maintain detailed records of quality inspections, test results, non-conformities, and corrective actions.
• Prepare daily/weekly quality reports for management review.
• Process Improvement
• Identify recurring quality issues and work with cross-functional teams to implement corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).
• Assist in developing standard operating procedures (SOPs) and quality control checklists.
• Compliance & Standards
• Ensure adherence to company and industry quality standards (ISO, BIS, etc. as applicable).
• Support internal and external audits.

Qualifications and Skills

• Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Mattress/Furniture Design, Wood Technology, Industrial Engineering, or related field.
• 2+ years of experience in quality control or production supervision in furniture manufacturing.
• Strong knowledge of furniture materials, production processes, joinery techniques, and quality parameters.
• Attention to detail and high standards of craftsmanship.
• Familiarity with measuring tools, gauges, and QC instruments.
• Good communication and reporting skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: ₹25,000.00 - ₹30,000.00 per month
