Job Description

A quality control job in manufacturing involves inspecting, testing, and monitoring products and production processes to ensure they meet company, legal, and industry standards. Key responsibilities include checking raw materials, performing tests with various tools, documenting findings, identifying defects, and collaborating with production teams to resolve issues and improve quality.     Key duties and responsibilities
  • Inspect and test products:

     
    Examine raw materials, components, and finished products at various stages of production to identify defects. This can involve visual inspection and using tools like calipers and gauges.   
  • Monitor production processes:

     
    Ensure that manufacturing operations consistently adhere to quality and safety standards and that equipment is accurate and calibrated.   
  • Document and report findings:

     
    Maintain detailed records of inspections and tests, including any deviations or non-conformities, and prepare reports for management and other stakeholders.   
  • Identify and troubleshoot issues:

     
    Pinpoint the root cause of quality problems and work with other departments to implement corrective actions and preventative measures.   
  • Ensure compliance:

     
    Guarantee that all products and processes comply with relevant legislation, industry standards, and internal policies.   
  • Analyze data:

     
    Review inspection and test data to identify trends, monitor performance, and suggest areas for continuous improvement.
