Job Description

Role Overview: As a Quality Automation Engineer at BMC, you will be a key member of the IZOT team responsible for validating product functionality, conducting thorough testing, identifying end user scenarios, contributing to product improvements, and showcasing demos to customers and stakeholders. Your primary focus will be building an end-to-end automation suite for a product running across cloud and mainframe environments. Key Responsibilities: - Work closely with developers and architects to validate product functionality through manual or automated test case execution. - Perform regression, integration, API, and system testing to ensure stability, performance, and reliability of solutions. - Identify end user scenarios, document issues and defects, and validate fixes provided by developers. - Contribute to product and process improvements, refine QA practices, and gain a deep understanding of product capabilities from a customer perspective. - Develop test automation scripts using automation framework for regression testing. - Troubleshoot problems, debug issues, and automate manual assignments using automation tools. Qualifications Required: - Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, or a related field with a minimum of 5 years of experience as a quality test and automation engineer in a distributed environment. - Proven experience in web UI/client-server testing, functional testing, regression testing, load testing, and API testing. - Hands-on expertise in creating and maintaining a robust automation framework. - Proficient in developing UI and API test automation using Java and Selenium. - Skilled in creating test cases and test execution plans from requirements and source documents. - Familiarity with agile software development methodologies, DevOps tools like Jenkins and Git, and testing on various operating systems. - Excellent communication, interpersonal, and analytical skills.
