Role Summary
The Quality & Audit Executive is the person who does the audit work on the ground. Each cycle, the Executive draws random samples of critical transactions for the functions and campuses assigned to them, checks each sample against the documented standard, collects evidence, rates the result, and writes up the findings. The Executive then follows up with function teams until fixes are made and checks that they have worked. The work depends on being accurate, fair, and consistent: two auditors looking at the same transaction should reach the same conclusion. The Executive also helps the Head improve the standards, checklists, and dashboards so that the audit gets faster and sharper each cycle.
How the Audit Works
The audit steps the Executive will follow (illustrative; the Head will finalise the methodology):
-
Receive the plan
get the audit calendar, scope, sample size, and checklist for each assigned function and campus -
Draw the sample
pull random samples of critical transactions from source systems according to the sampling plan, without input from the function being audited -
Check against the standard
— review each sampled transaction against the documented standard and checklist — for example, whether steps were done, on time, with the right records -
Record the evidence
— keep working papers, screenshots, records, and notes so that every conclusion can be verified later -
Rate and report
— score each sample, classify findings by severity, and draft the audit report inputs for the Head -
Follow up
— track agreed corrective actions with function teams, verify closure, and re-check where needed
Key Responsibilities
-
Audit fieldwork
— carry out audits of critical transactions for assigned functions and campuses as per the audit calendar, through desk review of records and systems and, where needed, campus visits -
Sampling
— draw random and risk-based samples from source systems and record how the sample was selected, so it can be repeated and defended -
Checklists and standards
— apply the audit checklists consistently; suggest changes to checklists and standards where a standard is unclear, out of date, or not working in practice -
Evidence and working papers
— keep complete, organised evidence and working papers for every audit; keep data confidential -
Findings and reports
— write clear, factual findings with evidence, severity, and likely root cause; contribute to the regular audit reports and scorecards shared with all functions -
Data analysis
— use spreadsheets and data tools to analyse samples, find patterns across campuses, and prepare dashboards and trend views -
Discussion with function teams
— walk function teams through findings, confirm facts before reports are issued, and agree corrective actions and due dates -
Corrective action follow-up
— track closure of agreed actions, verify the fix with evidence, and escalate delays or repeat issues to the Head -
Escalation
— raise serious findings at once with the Head — for example, misconduct, fee leakage, student-safety issues, or data integrity concerns -
Process learning
— learn the processes of the assigned functions in depth, including curricular and co-curricular assessments such as GRIT, BRAVE, and MINT, and pick up new functions as they are added, and flag process gaps and improvement ideas to the Head -
Calibration and improvement
— take part in calibration sessions with other executives so that scoring stays consistent across auditors and campuses
sistency of scoring; findings disputed and overturned; completeness of evidence and working papers
Who We're Looking For
- 3–6 years of experience in internal audit, process assurance, risk advisory, or operations quality
- Knows how to plan an audit, draw a random sample, test it against a standard, document evidence, and write up findings
- Has audited transactions or operations at volume — in a risk advisory or internal audit team, a shared-services or BPO quality team, a bank or NBFC operations audit, or a similar setting
- Comfortable with data: strong spreadsheet skills; ability to pull and analyse samples from systems; exposure to BI or audit-analytics tools is a plus
- Attention to detail and objectivity; able to give accurate findings without being swayed
- Clear written and spoken communication — can explain a finding to a function team politely and firmly
- Learns new processes quickly and is curious about how operations really work
- Willing to travel across campuses
Good to Have
- Experience in ed-tech, education, or student-facing operations
- Exposure to Lean / Six Sigma or ISO quality management
- Experience with ticketing, CRM, or program-tracking systems
- Experience writing or improving checklists and standard operating processes
