Quality Assurance Technical Engineer II - Manual/Automation Testing

As a Quality Assurance Tech II at our Chennai location on an 8-month contract basis, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the quality and stability of our software products through meticulous testing and analysis. Working onsite, you will collaborate closely with developers and stakeholders to detect, report, and resolve defects, thus contributing to the delivery of high-quality software. Your responsibilities will include validating product behavior using team-provided Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), test tools, and automation frameworks for product validation. You will also be responsible for executing various tests for software releases, such as functional, regression, and system testing. Additionally, you will identify, document, and report software defects in detail, providing clear descriptions, relevant screenshots, and gathering logs/traces for troubleshooting purposes. Furthermore, you will generate and share comprehensive test reports, offering clear summaries of test results and overall product quality. You will actively participate in defect triage meetings with developers to prioritize, analyze, and resolve identified issues. Maintenance and upkeep of the test environment and other test infrastructure components will also fall under your purview to ensure optimal testing conditions. The successful candidate for this role will embody key leadership principles, focusing on delivering results, maintaining high standards, and taking ownership of assigned tasks with a proactive approach. You should have 2-3 years of experience in both manual and automation testing, with a strong background in Selenium and Java for test automation. Proven experience in testing on mobile devices (iOS and Android) and familiarity with deployment processes, particularly using Jenkins, are essential requirements. Ideally, you should hold a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field. Immediate joiners are preferred, and the shift timings for this position are from 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM.
