- Education: a degree in a related discipline and a recognized OHS/Environment qualification, e.g., a degree or diploma in OHS Health and Safety Management or NEBOSH certificates in Occupational Health & Safety or other equivalent recognized and relevant certification. Additional qualifications/certifications in Occupational Health & Safety (e.g., First Aid, Fire Fighting, etc.) would be a plus.
- Minimum ten years of demonstrated work experience in implementing EHS management systems in multicultural and multi-geographical environments, including a robust understanding of compliance requirements, monitoring and auditing guidelines, and standards, e.g., ISO9001, ISO 14001, OHSAS 18001, and ISO 45001.
- Proven experience in industrial management systems, process safety, road safety, and training & qualification in the field of industrial gases.
- Sound knowledge of the environmental, health, and safety regulations in KSA
- Knowledge and experience in developing and deploying behavioral safety programs to address health and psychosocial risks would be preferred.
- Experience in organizing & delivering HSE training internally and to subcontractors.
- Proven experience in evaluating, monitoring, and performance management.
- Experience in developing EHS documentation (e.g., policies, procedures, risk assessments, etc.)
- Experience leading a team and advising on EHS activities to senior personnel.
- Experience dealing with internal/external customers or at least have demonstrable qualities to put customer first, e.g., good communication and presentation skills.
- Strong ethics and integrity.
- Multilingual with excellent command of spoken and written English
- Proactive in identifying areas of improvement to secure effective risk control.
- Ability to write reports, articles, and technical and audit reports to an excellent standard.
- Possess excellent communication, persuading, and influencing skills. Team player who can build and maintain internal & external relationships with peers and senior stakeholders.
- Ability to act as a change agent through interactions with others.
- Strong organizational skills, detail-oriented, and the ability to handle multiple priorities.
