You are a passionate and detail-oriented Manual Test Engineer with 2 to 4 years of experience, residing in Sector 74, Mohali. You possess a solid understanding of API testing and have the capability to lead small QA initiatives or teams. Your expertise lies in manual testing processes, hands-on experience with RESTful APIs, and a collaborative mindset to work closely with cross-functional teams comprising of development, product, and DevOps professionals. Your responsibilities will revolve around designing, developing, and executing manual test cases based on requirements and user stories. You will conduct thorough API testing utilizing tools such as Postman, Swagger, or similar platforms. Analyzing and documenting test results, tracking defects, and collaborating with developers to resolve issues will be essential tasks. Additionally, you will create and maintain test plans, test cases, and test data for both functional and non-functional requirements. Involvement in requirement analysis and grooming sessions to gain a comprehensive understanding of the product and provide testing insights is crucial. Acting as a lead/point of contact for small QA teams or sprints, contributing to defining and enhancing QA processes and standards, assisting in test case review, and mentoring junior testers are also part of your responsibilities. Collaboration with developers and product managers to ensure timely and high-quality releases is a key aspect of your role. Your qualifications include 2 to 4 years of experience in manual software testing, strong expertise in API testing (REST, JSON, XML) employing tools like Postman, Swagger, Insomnia, etc., a sound understanding of software development lifecycle (SDLC) and QA methodologies, and basic knowledge of API test automation as a plus. Familiarity with bug tracking tools such as Microsoft Azure DevOps, ability to lead QA efforts for small modules or projects, strong communication and documentation skills, proactive mindset with excellent problem-solving abilities, experience with Agile/Scrum methodologies, and hands-on experience in Web and Mobile Apps Testing are essential requirements. Nice to have skills include exposure to CI/CD tools (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab), experience with SQL for backend data validation, familiarity with performance testing concepts, and basic scripting knowledge in Python, JavaScript, etc. You will be part of a collaborative and growth-oriented environment that offers opportunities for career advancement into more senior QA roles.
