Type: Full time, In Person Location: Bangalore Compensation (CTC): INR 25-30L (Including ESOPs) Joining Date: January 2025 About the Role We're catching lasers from space to build the optical highway to the cosmos . Join us as an Electronics Engineer to design FPGA-based signal processing systems, laser driver circuits, and control electronics for multi-Gbps optical links. You'll work across high-speed digital systems, precision control loops, and ruggedized electronics for both ground stations and satellite payloads. Responsibilities Design and implement FPGA-based signal processing for high-speed optical communication (1-10 Gbps data rates) Develop VHDL/Verilog code for data encoding, modulation schemes (OOK, PPM, DPPM), and protocol implementation Develop and validate control algorithms using MATLAB/Simulink, including hardware-in-the-loop (HIL) testing Design PCBs with emphasis on signal integrity, impedance matching, and EMI/EMC for high-speed interfaces Integrate electronics with optical and mechanical subsystems Support field experiments, system bring-up, and on-site troubleshooting Requirements B.Tech/M.Tech in Electronics, Electrical Engineering, or ECE Expert-level proficiency in FPGA development (Xilinx/Intel/Lattice platforms) Strong VHDL/Verilog programming for digital design and signal processing Experience with high-speed digital design and SerDes/LVDS interfaces Power electronics design: DC-DC converters, LDOs, current sources, laser drivers High-speed PCB design with signal integrity and thermal management understanding Proficiency with test equipment: oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, spectrum analyzers Knowledge of communication protocols: I2C, SPI, UART, USB, CAN Programming in Python/MATLAB for automation, simulation, and analysis Hands-on soldering, debugging, and board bring-up skills Ability to own an electronics subsystem end-to-end: design, build, test, deploy Nice-to-Have MATLAB/Simulink for control algorithm development and automatic code generation Familiarity with real-time operating systems (FreeRTOS, ThreadX) Experience with embedded Linux (Debian) and ROS2 Knowledge of modulation schemes and forward error correction codes DSP algorithm implementation on FPGAs What We Offer Opportunity to build electronics for next-generation space optical communication from scratch World-class lab facilities and test equipment Founding Engineer equity How to Apply Send your resume and a brief note about your interests to: [HIDDEN TEXT]
