Description
You will be responsible for ensuring quality standards and compliance across civil, structural, and architectural works in construction projects at Tata Electronics, India's first AI-enabled state-of-the-art Semiconductor Foundry. Your role will involve overseeing General Contractors (GCs) and third-party QA/QC agencies, monitoring construction activities, conducting inspections, and maintaining the highest level of quality and safety. Key Responsibilities: - Monitor and ensure quality compliance of all civil works such as foundations, structural steel, RCC, and stormwater drainage across facilities. - Review and approve Inspection Test Plans (ITPs), method statements, and material approvals according to project specifications and ISO standards. - Conduct site inspections, audits, and surveillance to ensure compliance with specifications, drawings, and standards. - Monitor and ensure timely closure of Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs) and Site Observation Reports (SORs). - Proper documentation of quality records including inspection reports, test results, NCRs, method statements, and material approvals. Verify documentation and maintain quality records for compliance and handover. - Collaborate with design, GCs, and project management teams to resolve quality issues. - Support root cause analysis and corrective/preventive actions for civil quality issues. - Review contractor and supplier submittals related to civil works. Skills & Qualifications: - Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related technical discipline. - 5+ years of QA/QC experience in large scale construction projects. Familiarity with the semiconductor industry is a plus. - Strong knowledge of civil, structural, and architectural codes and standards. - Familiarity with QA/QC processes, inspection procedures, and reporting. - Excellent MS-Office skills including PowerPoint, Word, Excel, Vizio, etc. - Familiarity with Power BI, Spotfire, or similar data analysis programs. - Strong data analysis, troubleshooting, teamwork, and communication skills. - Ability to thrive in a high-paced multi-cultural environment. - Ability to identify gaps and create/modify processes and procedures in accordance with Tata Electronics requirements and/or relevant Code requirements. - Strong creative problem-solving skills, leadership potential, and a desire to contribute to leading-edge planning and optimize projects with aggressive goals and timelines.
