The SOX Work Evidence Collection Specialist plays a crucial role in ensuring compliance with the Sarbanes-Oxley Act (SOX) by meticulously collecting, analyzing, and documenting all necessary evidence related to financial reporting and internal controls. By maintaining detailed records and collaborating with various departments, this specialist helps in designing and implementing effective internal controls to mitigate risks and ensure SOX compliance. Regular reviews and testing of internal controls are conducted to identify deficiencies or weaknesses, and detailed reports are prepared to communicate findings and recommendations to management and stakeholders. The ideal candidate for this role should have a Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field, with at least 3-5 years of experience in accounting, auditing, or compliance, focusing on SOX compliance and internal controls. Strong attention to detail, analytical skills, communication skills, organizational skills, problem-solving skills, and technical proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite are essential for success in this position. The specialist is expected to operate in a professional office environment, with physical demands including prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
