QA Engineer

About the Role

As a QA Engineer, you will be responsible for creating test plans, estimating effort, and prioritizing multiple projects to ensure high-quality product delivery. Your role will involve identifying, documenting, tracking, and resolving quality issues and defects. You will work closely with product and development teams to clarify requirements, scope/sizing, and create strategies for delivering high-quality solutions. Additionally, you will guide and support teams in maintaining best testing practices.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and execute comprehensive test plans and strategies.
• Identify, document, track, and resolve defects in a structured manner.
• Collaborate with product and development teams for requirement clarifications and test scope definition.
• Ensure high-quality product releases by implementing best QA practices.
• Guide and mentor teams on quality processes and test automation where applicable.

Technical Requirements

• 2+ years of experience in manual testing of Android/iOS apps (experience with E-commerce apps is a plus).
• Expertise in writing and documenting test scenarios effectively.
• Strong debugging skills for Android/iOS app logs/activities using tools such as Android Studio, DDMS, Charles Proxy, Xcode, etc.
• Hands-on experience in API testing using tools like Postman or Swagger (preferred).
• Proficiency in working with databases such as MySQL.
• Experience with Agile methodologies and working in an Agile environment.
• Familiarity with Jira for task management, test case documentation, and bug tracking.
• Strong proactive attitude, self-motivation, ownership mindset, and excellent communication skills.
