Qa Automation Testing Engineer

Role & Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain automation test scripts for web, mobile, backend, and API systems using Selenium, Rest Assured, Appium, Playwright, TestNG, Maven, etc.
  
• Build robust automation frameworks using Java or Python for both UI and API test coverage.
  
• Integrate automated test suites into CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins, Azure DevOps, Bamboo, or GitLab CI.
  
• Execute automated test suites, analyze results, identify defects, and work closely with developers/product teams to resolve issues.
  
• Perform database validations using SQL and ensure data accuracy across systems.
  
• Create, maintain, and mock test data as required for automation scenarios.
  
• Debug and troubleshoot complex test failures, logs, and code-level issues.
  
• Collaborate proactively with cross-functional teams including developers, product managers, and QA leads.
  
• Contribute to continuous improvement of automation frameworks, test coverage, and testing efficiency.
  
• Work from the client location as part of the product team, ensuring high-quality releases.
  

Preferred Candidate Profile

• 35 years of solid experience in automation testing across UI, API, backend, or mobile platforms.
  
• Strong hands-on experience with automation tools: Selenium, Rest Assured, Appium, Playwright, TestNG, Maven, Karate, etc.
  
• Proficiency in Java or Python for building, maintaining, and enhancing automation scripts.
  
• Good understanding of SQL and experience with database testing.
  
• Working knowledge of cloud environments such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.
  
• Experience integrating automation into CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins, Azure DevOps, Bamboo, or GitLab CI.
  
• Strong analytical, debugging, and problem-solving skills.
  
• Experience with test data mocking or virtualization tools.
  
• Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional product teams.
  
• Self-driven, proactive, and able to work independently with minimal supervision.
  
• Comfortable working onsite at the client location and being embedded within the product team.
