QA Automation Tester – Frontend Web Applications

WHAT YOU’LL DO

We’re looking for a QA Automation Tester to join our frontend web application team and help deliver reliable, high-quality user experiences to millions of customers.
In this role, you’ll design, develop, and maintain automated tests using Selenium, validate functionality across browsers with BrowserStack, and collaborate across teams — including developers, QA engineers, and product managers — to ensure smooth, high-quality releases. You’ll be expected to work proactively, take ownership of your deliverables, and ensure that the existing automation framework remains stable, efficient, and scalable.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and maintain automated test scripts for frontend web applications using Selenium (primary) with Java.
• Validate cross-browser functionality using BrowserStack and ensure consistent user experiences across environments.
• Clearly articulate and document test cases to align with development and product teams.
• Write modular, reusable, and repeatable test code that integrates smoothly with the existing automation framework.
• Maintain and enhance the current automation framework to ensure reliability and compatibility with new releases.
• Execute automated tests as part of CI/CD pipelines integrated with GitHub Actions.
• Log and manage defects in Jira and manage test cases and reports using QMetry.
• Collaborate across teams to ensure full test coverage and effective communication throughout the release cycle.
• Participate in Agile ceremonies and contribute to continuous QA improvement initiatives.

My Account and Checkout Team—a core pillar of the H&M digital experience. This team plays a crucial role in shaping the customer journey across the Checkout, Cart, and My Account modules of the H&M website.

WHO YOU ARE

We are looking for people with:

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Engineering, or a related field.
• 3–5 years of experience in QA automation for frontend web applications.
• Strong hands-on experience with Selenium WebDriver for UI automation.
• Working knowledge of BrowserStack, GitHub, GitHub Actions, and QMetry.
• Familiarity with Playwright or Robot Framework is a plus.
• Some exposure to AI-powered testing tools (for example, using AI copilots for test generation or self-healing tests) is an added advantage.
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines and version control workflows.
• Ability to write clean, maintainable, and well-documented automation code.
• Proactive, self-governed, and comfortable managing priorities independently.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively across cross-functional teams.
