Primary Skill (s): Playwright Test Automation Engineer As a Test Automation Consultant with 5-7 years of experience and a strong background in Playwright Test automation Responsibility to ensure the quality and reliability of software applications. Playwright Test Automation expertise is mandatory and ability of driving automated testing strategies, optimizing testing processes, and mentoring junior team members. Responsibilities Automation Strategy : Develop and implement automated testing strategies that align with project goals and quality standards. Test Framework Development : Design, develop, and maintain scalable and robust test automation frameworks using Typescript, ensuring reusability and low maintainability. Test Script Creation : Write, review, and enhance automated test scripts to cover functional, regression, and integration testing scenarios. Test Execution : Ability to record & play and execute automated test scripts, analyze results, and report defects to the development team. Monitor and maintain test environments to ensure consistent test execution. Continuous Integration : Integrate automated tests into the CI/CD pipeline, working collaboratively with development and DevOps teams to ensure timely and reliable test execution. Test Data Management : Manage test data setup and ensure data consistency for different testing phases. Defect Tracking : Identify, document, and prioritize defects using issue tracking tools. Collaborate with the development team to ensure timely defect resolution. Performance and Load Testing : Contribute to performance and load testing efforts by creating automated tests to validate system responsiveness and stability. Test Reporting : Generate comprehensive test reports and metrics for various stakeholders, highlighting test coverage, results, and areas for improvement - by logging details in Jira. Test Process Enhancement : Continuously enhance testing processes and methodologies to increase efficiency, accuracy, and effectiveness. Mentorship : Provide guidance and mentorship to junior team members, helping them develop their automation skills and best practices. Stay Current :Stay updated on industry trends, emerging tools, and technologies related to test automation, and suggest improvements to the existing testing practices. Nice to have: Exposure to any of the cloud computing platform (Azure \ AWS \ GCP) What you need to succeed: Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field. 5-7 years of hands-on experience in test automation using Typescript Strong coding skills in Typescript and experience with object-oriented programming. In-depth understanding of software testing concepts, methodologies, and best practices. Proficiency in creating and maintaining automation frameworks from scratch. Experience with version control systems (e. g. , Git) and CI/CD pipelines. Solid knowledge of testing web applications, APIs, and databases. Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail. Strong communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
