Business decisions will require availability of accurate, timely and consistent data. In a large enterprise like Brokerage, with thousands of systems and tens of thousands of databases, it is critical to provide solutions that help users find data, understand its meaning, and easily access data via APIs, frameworks, and tools in a secure, compliant manner, whether the data is on premise or on the cloud. To address these challenges, the squads within the FDO work on providing tools to document, Client, search, and visualize how data is used in the firm. The team also provides APIs and integrations with other technologies in the firm to capture and Client this information to support and promote automation. The team builds in house tools as well as works with vendor tools in this space to address these problems. The QA Automation Engineering position is responsible for providing QA automation capability across the Data Quality Governance and Cataloging Fleet. This includes implementing a comprehensive, robust automated testing strategy across the suite of tools that we provide to the firm and integrations to other systems. The role will require implementing the testing strategy through all squads across the fleet in order to ensure that the quality of our products are increased and maintained. Job Responsibilities: Implement QA automated testing strategy for the fleet to ensure successful and high-quality product deliverables. Implements strategies and techniques covering both functional (e.g. Unit, Integration, System, Acceptance) and non-functional (e.g. Performance/Load, Usability, Security) software testing Define and implement KPIs (e.g. test automation coverage) to measure success of the strategy. Identify areas for improvements with test automation approach. Stay current with test automation approaches and tooling. Mentor and coach junior QA Automation Engineers. Communicate with technical and non-technical audiences. QUALIFICATIONS Skills Required: Must Have Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or related field 8+ years of relevant professional experience in Software Testing and Quality management, including hands on execution, automation as well as reporting Proven knowledge and experience of SDLC process and Agile Methodologies and various types of both functional (e.g. Unit, Integration, System, Acceptance) and non-functional (e.g. Performance/Load, Usability, Security) software testing Experience with TDD, BDD methodologies and frameworks Experience with CI/CD (Continuous Integration/Continuous Delivery) pipeline models and associated tools (e.g. Jenkins, Gitlab), Agile project management and DevOps practices. Thorough understanding of end to end testing processes Experience in Test Automation (test and scripting tools) e.g. Selenium / Appium / Python / JMeter / Xunit / NUnit etc. Able to demonstrate an understanding of the test phase life cycle, the principles of testing including Test and Defect Management. Strong problem-solving skills, business acumen, and demonstrated excellent oral and written communication skills with both technical and non-technical audiences Skills Desired: Good to have Knowledge of Data Governance Experience in any Data Governance Tool like Collibra etc.
