Python Software Developer

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, and maintain applications using Python.
• Build and maintain RESTful APIs and backend services using frameworks such as Django, Flask, or FastAPI.
• Write clean, reusable, efficient, and well-documented code.
• Develop and optimize database queries using SQL and work with relational databases such as PostgreSQL, MySQL, or SQL Server.
• Integrate third-party APIs, external services, and internal systems.
• Perform unit testing, debugging, troubleshooting, and code reviews.
• Identify and resolve application performance issues and production defects.
• Collaborate with frontend developers, QA engineers, DevOps engineers, and product teams.
• Use Git for version control and follow Agile/Scrum development methodologies.
• Support application deployment, maintenance, and continuous improvement.
• Follow secure coding practices and software development standards.
• Prepare technical documentation and participate in sprint planning and project discussions.

Required Skills and Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Strong proficiency in Python programming.
• Experience with Django, Flask, or FastAPI.
• Good understanding of REST APIs, JSON, HTTP protocols, and web services.
• Knowledge of SQL and relational databases.
• Familiarity with object-oriented programming (OOP), data structures, and algorithms.
• Experience with Git, GitHub, or Bitbucket.
• Understanding of unit testing frameworks such as PyTest or unittest.
• Knowledge of debugging, exception handling, and performance optimization.
• Good analytical, problem-solving, communication, and teamwork skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with AWS, Azure, or other cloud platforms.
• Familiarity with Docker, CI/CD pipelines, and deployment processes.
• Knowledge of Linux/Unix environments.
• Exposure to asynchronous programming, background jobs, and task queues.
• Experience with Redis, Celery, or message brokers.
• Familiarity with microservices architecture and application security.
