1. Technical Expertise Python Language Mastery Deep understanding of Python internals (memory management, GIL, generators, async/await) Fluent in object-oriented and functional paradigms Familiarity with metaprogramming, decorators, context managers, and custom iterators Framework Proficiency Web: Django, Flask, FastAPI (in-depth) Testing: pytest, unittest, mocking, test-driven development (TDD) Async: asyncio, aiohttp (for high-performance apps) Clean Code & Patterns Applies SOLID principles and design patterns effectively Writes maintainable, modular, and well-documented code Enforces code quality via linters, formatters, and tools like mypy, black, or flake8 2. Architecture & System Design Understands microservices vs monoliths, and chooses appropriately Implements APIs with proper RESTful/GraphQL standards and authentication (OAuth2, JWT) 3. DevOps & Deployment Strong with CI/CD pipelines (GitLab CI) Docker, Docker Compose : understands containerization Cloud services (GCP/Azure) : at least familiarity with deploying and managing Python apps Monitoring, logging, and alerting 4. Leadership & Mentorship Reviews PRs not just for syntax but for architectural consistency and scalability Mentors junior developers effectively Advocates for team coding standards, documentation, and design practices Communicates trade-offs clearly (e.g., performance vs complexity)
