Python Developer - Django/Flask

Role & Responsibilities :
- Architect, build, and maintain scalable backend services and RESTful APIs using Python (Django, Flask, or FastAPI) for production-grade applications.- Design and implement microservices, containerise applications with Docker, and collaborate on orchestration patterns (Kubernetes) for resilient deployments.- Own database schema design and performance tuning for SQL (Postgres/MySQL) and NoSQL stores (MongoDB), including query optimisation and migration strategies.- Drive CI/CD pipelines, automated testing (unit/integration), code reviews, and observability to ensure quality, security, and uptime in an Agile environment.- Collaborate cross-functionally with product managers, frontend engineers, and DevOps to translate requirements into maintainable code and APIs with clear SLAs.- Mentor junior engineers, create engineering best-practices (TDD, coding standards), and contribute to technical design reviews and architecture decisions.Skills & Qualifications :
Must-Have :
- 7+ years professional experience in Python backend development with demonstrable production projects.- Strong experience with Django, Flask, or FastAPI and building RESTful APIs for high-throughput systems.- Proven experience with Docker, CI/CD pipelines, Git workflows, and unit/integration testing (TDD preferred).Preferred :
- Experience with cloud platforms (AWS/GCP/Azure), container orchestration (Kubernetes), and infrastructure-as-code.- Hands-on with SQL and NoSQL databases (Postgres, MySQL, MongoDB) and performance optimisation techniques.- Familiarity with monitoring/observability (Prometheus, ELK/EFK) and microservices patterns for scalability and reliability.
