This position is responsible for the installation and programming of Fire Alarm, Security, and Life Safety systems according to the operational requirements of the customer, required codes, and Pye-Barker quality standards. Typical commercial solutions include fire alarm, access control, CCTV, security, and nurse call systems. Essential Duties & Responsibilities: Installation of cable including associated infrastructure and raceways Program panels Conduct testing and inspection of systems with authority having jurisdiction Respond to and complete system troubleshooting and repairs; troubleshooting cables for opens, grounds, and shorts Coordinate with other trades on jobsite Daily progress communication with Field Superintendent; Report on activities completed, deferred, or requiring further action or material to management Communicate with customers on job status or completion (installation or service) Prepare service and status reports Submit complete and accurate paperwork such as travel records, warranty reports, and code issues in a timely manner Ability to work independently on customer job sites Perform other duties assigned by management Education & Qualifications: A high school education or equivalent required Must have a minimum of 1 year fire alarm and or security industry experience Technical school training is a plus Ability to operate hand and power tools Ability to operate fleet vehicle in a safe manner Knowledge of computers, basic software, and networking a plus Adheres to the Code of Conduct, Confidentiality Agreement, and Company Safety Policy Benefits And Perks Medical, dental, vision Company paid life insurance Company paid short term disability 401K with employer match Paid vacation and company holidays Company vehicle (if job applicable) Pye Barker Fire and Safety is an Equal Opportunity Employer,

This position is responsible for servicing, installing, and inspecting security systems (Security, CCTV, Access Control and Cameras). Ensure that all systems and components are maintained according to industry standards and the operational requirements of the customer. Pay range: $23-$25 per hour DOE Essential Duties & Responsibilities: Install security systems or appropriate devices, dismantle and/or reconstruct equipment as required by customer or the Company. This includes (Security, CCTV, Access Control and Cameras) Conduct testing and inspection of systems under maintenance agreement. Respond to and complete system troubleshooting and repairs. Make connections and required adjustments as directed, test operation of all components of each system. Conduct site surveys upon request of management. Keep manuals and all details up to date as changes are advised. Report on activities completed, deferred, or requiring further action or material to management. Communicate with customers on job status or completion (installation or service). Write service and status reports. Submit complete and accurate paperwork in a timely manner. Obtain proper signatures. Accurately record travel and service times, timesheets, identify warranties, changes and code issues and provide accurate descriptions. Ability to work independently on customer sites Perform other duties assigned by management. Education/Qualification: A high school education or equivalent required. Must have 1 year experience in security systems and working with tools. Some technical school training is a plus. Ability to operate hand and power tools. Ability to always operate fleet vehicle in a safe manner. Experience in a fast-paced environment with multiple stakeholders. Physical Requirements Maybe required to sit; climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl. Must be able to walk and stand. Comfortable reaching, climbing (ladder/stairs) and bending. Must be able to verbally communicate via telephone. Must be able to lift and/or move up to 60 pounds.
