overview We are looking for a skilled and dedicated Operator - BMS (Building Management System) to join our team. In this role, you'll be crucial in maintaining and troubleshooting our electrical systems, ensuring our facilities run smoothly and safely. Key Responsibilities: As an Operator - BMS, your main responsibilities will include: Performing highly skilled maintenance, installation, repair, and troubleshooting work on various electrical systems. Working on a diverse range of electrical equipment, including heating, refrigeration, motors, fire alarms, and generator equipment, applying technical electrical expertise. Installing, testing, inspecting, maintaining, servicing, and repairing lighting fixtures, electrical panels, outlets, wiring, specialized electrical equipment, and machinery. Operating power hand tools and other specialized electrical equipment safely and efficiently. Constructing and maintaining service equipment. Reading and interpreting electrical circuit diagrams and blueprints accurately. Requisitioning materials and supplies from the stockroom, communicating with vendors to discuss parts and supply needs, and recommending purchases and suppliers. Transferring primary power from one power source to another as required. Installing conductors, splicing cables, building terminations, and performing necessary hookups for primary power lines. Setting poles, stringing overhead lines, and conducting overhead line maintenance. Laying underground conduit for electrical lines and installing low-voltage electric lines and conduit for telephone systems. Potentially performing other trade work incidental to electrical work when necessary. Qualifications: To be successful in this role, you should have: An ITI Certificate or a PWD License. The ability to read blueprints effectively. Good communication skills, both written and verbal. A proven ability to troubleshoot related systems efficiently. A proactive and disciplined work ethic. Excellent organizational skills. A strong service-oriented attitude.
