Job Summary: We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Assistant Quality Manager to assist in driving quality excellence across our operations. The role involves ensuring adherence to quality standards, managing audits, handling customer quality issues, and promoting continuous improvement, with full alignment to IATF 16949 standards. Key Responsibilities: Quality Assurance & Control: Implement and monitor quality control systems for incoming, in-process, and final inspections. Support the development and execution of quality plans and inspection standards. Supervise QC inspectors, monitor defect trends, and take corrective actions. Customer Quality Interface: Lead investigations into customer complaints using RCA, CA, and PA methodologies. Coordinate with clients for product quality concerns, documentation, and audit readiness. Prepare PPAP documentation and maintain traceability records as per IATF norms. Audit & Compliance: Assist in managing internal audits, customer audits, and third-party audits as per IATF 16949 standards. Maintain and control quality documentation, calibration logs, and audit reports. Ensure compliance with control plans, PFMEA, APQP, and other IATF deliverables. Process Improvement: Drive problem-solving activities using 7 QC tools, FMEA, Fishbone, and 5 Why analysis. Work with cross-functional teams for continuous improvement and defect prevention. Support cost of poor quality (COPQ) reduction initiatives and process capability enhancement. Training & Supervision: Train shopfloor teams on quality awareness, defect identification, and standard work. Guide and monitor quality control team performance and effectiveness. Key Requirements: Bachelor’s Degree / Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent. 3–5 years of quality experience in a manufacturing setup, preferably automotive. Solid knowledge of IATF 16949 , APQP, PPAP, FMEA, MSA, and SPC. Familiarity with inspection instruments like Vernier, Micrometer, Profile Projector, etc. Strong leadership, documentation, and problem-solving skills. Experience with MES/ERP-based quality systems is an added advantage. Preferred Attributes: Structured, analytical, and quality-first mindset. Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
