Job Summary

Purchase Executive

Key Responsibilities

• Source and procure raw materials, machine parts, fabrication components, tools, and consumables as per engineering drawings/specifications.
• Identify and evaluate reliable suppliers for quality, pricing, and capacity.
• Obtain quotations, negotiate terms, and issue purchase orders.
• Coordinate with design, production, and QA teams to ensure compliance with technical standards.
• Track orders, follow up with suppliers, and ensure timely delivery.
• Manage vendor performance and resolve quality or delivery issues.
• Maintain accurate procurement records, contracts, and pricing data.
• Support inventory control and ensure optimal stock levels.
• Adhere to procurement policies, ISO/QA procedures, and audits.
• Contribute to vendor database development and cost-saving initiatives.

Required Qualifications & Skills

• Bachelors/Diploma in Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial Engineering OR Supply Chain/Procurement with technical knowledge.
• 2–5 years’ experience in procurement within engineering/manufacturing.
• Strong knowledge of engineering materials, fasteners, sheet metals, and tools.
• Ability to read/interpret technical drawings (preferred).
• Proficiency in ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, Tally, etc.) and MS Excel.
• Strong negotiation, communication, and vendor management skills.

Preferred:

• Knowledge of import/export procurement & logistics.
• Experience in lean procurement and cost-reduction strategies.

Salary & Benefits

• Annual Salary: 2,50,000 – 3,50,000 (in-hand)
• Performance Incentives: Up to 25% of annual salary
• Weekly Off: Sunday + company-declared holidays
