About the Role

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Purchase Engineer to manage procurement activities, vendor development, and material sourcing for our operations. The ideal candidate should have strong negotiation skills, technical knowledge of engineering materials, and experience in supplier management.

Key Responsibilities

• Source and procure engineering materials, components, and services.
• Obtain quotations, compare offers, and negotiate pricing and commercial terms.
• Generate and maintain purchase orders and procurement records.
• Develop and maintain relationships with suppliers and vendors.
• Coordinate with Production, Engineering, Stores, and Finance teams for procurement planning.
• Monitor inventory levels and ensure timely availability of materials.
• Track deliveries and resolve issues related to quality, quantity, and timelines.
• Conduct supplier evaluations and identify cost-saving opportunities.
• Ensure compliance with company procurement policies and procedures.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial Engineering, or related field.
• 2-5 years of experience in Purchase, Procurement, or Supply Chain functions.
• Experience in vendor management and sourcing activities.
• Proficiency in MS Excel and ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, etc.).
• Strong negotiation, communication, and analytical skills.

Preferred Skills

• Knowledge of manufacturing processes and industrial materials.
• Cost reduction and supplier development experience.
• Ability to manage multiple vendors and deadlines effectively.
