Job Title: Veterinary Surgeon Location: Saket- J Block New Delhi Reports To: Veterinary Clinic Manager Job Summary: We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Veterinary Surgeon to join our team. As a Veterinary Surgeon, you will be responsible for diagnosing, treating, and managing a wide range of animal health conditions, from routine check-ups to emergency care. The ideal candidate will possess strong clinical skills, excellent communication abilities, and a deep love for animals. Key Responsibilities: Patient Care: Provide medical, surgical, and dental care to animals, including consultations, diagnostics, and treatments. Surgical Procedures: Perform surgeries such as spaying, neutering, and other soft tissue and orthopedic surgeries. Diagnostics: Order and interpret diagnostic tests (e.g., blood tests, X-rays, ultrasound) to assess and diagnose conditions. Treatment Plans: Develop treatment plans, explain them to pet owners, and ensure follow-up care and preventive health advice. Emergency Care: Handle emergency cases with skill and professionalism, including trauma, poisoning, and critical care. Client Education: Advise clients on pet care, nutrition, preventive medicine, and behavioral issues. Collaboration: Work closely with veterinary nurses, support staff, and other veterinarians to ensure the best care for animals. Record Keeping: Maintain accurate patient records, ensuring they are updated with each visit and treatment. Continual Professional Development: Stay up-to-date with veterinary medicine advancements through continuing education, seminars, and workshops. Qualifications: Degree: A Bachelor’s degree in Veterinary Science or equivalent Experience: Proven experience as a Veterinary Surgeon; newly qualified candidates will also be considered. Skills: Strong clinical and surgical Compassionate, patient, and empathetic towards both animals and their owners. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact with clients and colleagues. Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
