We build infrastructure connecting telecom operators, banks, and fintechs , enabling seamless mobile money transactions, airtime distribution, and payment services . As we scale our data ecosystem, were seeking a Senior Data Engineer / Lead Data Analyst who will architect, automate, and optimize data pipelines transforming raw operational data into actionable business intelligence that drives decision-making across the organization. Role Overview You will lead data engineering and analytics initiatives at PRYMO DRC. This includes defining data architecture, building reliable ETL pipelines, developing scalable BI solutions, and mentoring junior analysts. You’ll partner closely with business, finance, and technology teams to shape how data informs every decision — from liquidity management to cross-network performance analysis. Key Responsibilities Architect, automate, and optimize end-to-end data pipelines (ETL) using Microsoft BI tools (SSIS, SQL Server, Power Query). Design and maintain a centralized data warehouse supporting high-volume transactional data. Develop and manage advanced Power BI dashboards (data modeling, DAX, custom visuals, security rules). Lead data governance, validation, and quality assurance processes across all systems. Conduct advanced analytics and forecasting using Python or R to support financial and operational planning. Collaborate with Finance, Product, and Operations teams to define KPIs, ensure consistent metrics, and deliver executive-level reporting. Implement automation and monitoring frameworks to ensure data accuracy and reliability. Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior analysts and data engineers. Evaluate new tools, frameworks, and technologies to enhance the company’s data infrastructure. Required Skills & Experience 5–10 years of experience as a Data Engineer, BI Developer, or Senior Data Analyst . Expert in SQL Server (T-SQL, stored procedures, performance tuning, database design). Proven experience in Power BI Desktop and Power BI Service (DAX, gateways, security, performance optimization). Strong background in ETL design and automation (SSIS, ADF, or similar frameworks). Proficiency in Python or R for data analysis, modeling, and automation. Strong understanding of data warehousing , data modeling , and governance best practices . Familiarity with cloud-based data solutions (Azure Data Factory, AWS Redshift, or GCP BigQuery). Exposure to financial or transactional data (payments, fintech, telecom) preferred. Excellent communication and leadership skills, capable of translating technical findings into business insights. Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Statistics, or Information Systems . Preferred Attributes Experience in fintech, digital payments, or telecom industries. Proven track record of designing scalable BI systems for multi-country or multi-entity organizations. Strong sense of ownership, autonomy, and ability to work across time zones. Comfortable working in fast-paced, high-volume data environments . Passionate about mentoring and team development.
