Position: Primary Teacher – Mathematics (PRT)
Department: Academics
Reports to: Academic Coordinator / Principal
Location: School Campus

Job Summary

The PRT Mathematics teacher is responsible for delivering effective mathematics instruction to students of primary classes (typically Grades I–V). The role includes planning lessons as per curriculum standards, fostering mathematical thinking, and ensuring the overall academic growth of students in a safe, engaging classroom environment.

Key ResponsibilitiesTeaching & Learning

• Plan and deliver interactive and age-appropriate math lessons as per curriculum guidelines CBSE
• Use a variety of teaching strategies to develop numerical skills, problem-solving ability, and logical thinking.
• Integrate activities, manipulatives, worksheets, and digital tools to support conceptual understanding.
• Maintain clear records of student progress through classwork, assessments, and observations.

Classroom Management

• Create a positive, inclusive, and structured learning environment.
• Ensure effective discipline and classroom routines that support learning.
• Cater to diverse learning needs through differentiated instruction.

Assessment & Evaluation

• Prepare, conduct, and evaluate class tests, assignments, and periodic examinations.
• Provide constructive feedback to students and share regular progress updates with parents.
• Maintain accurate academic records as required by the school.

Parent Communication

• Communicate regularly with parents during PTMs and through diaries/emails regarding student performance and behaviour.

Professional Responsibilities

• Participate in staff meetings, training programs, workshops, and school events.
• Collaborate with colleagues on lesson planning and school initiatives.
• Uphold school policies, values, and standards of professionalism.

Qualifications & SkillsEducational Qualification

• Graduation in any discipline with Mathematics as a subject (preferred).
• B.Ed / D.El.Ed / BTC / equivalent primary teacher training (mandatory as per board norms).
• CTET/STET qualified (if applicable).
• 1–3 years of teaching experience in primary grades (freshers with strong subject knowledge may be considered).

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹9,521.12 - ₹35,000.00 per month
