Role Overview The Communications Coordinator (Intern role) will assist in managing day-to-day coordination activities, creating engaging social media content for India spokespeople, and eventually build experience in developing first drafts for communication plans, reports, and written materials. This role supports streamlined operations, consistent messaging, and effective communication strategies in alignment with the organization’s goals. Key Responsibilities Stakeholder Coordination: Work closely with internal teams, external partners, and spokespeople to ensure a seamless flow of communication and collaboration. Coordinate meetings, maintain progress reports, and support the completion of key project milestones. Social Media Content Creation: Manage the India spokesperson’s social media profiles on platforms like LinkedIn, X, and Instagram. Share social media content (text, images, and videos) tailored to grow India spokespeople’s digital presence and engage audiences. Drafting and Writing Support: Prepare first drafts for plans, campaign outlines, reports, and other communication-related materials. Support alignment of content with the company’s tone, style guide, and strategic goals. Monitoring Trends and Performance: Monitor digital trends, peer activities, and industry developments to share insights and recommendations. Use analytics tools to track social media engagement metrics and work with the agency to assist in reporting results. Agency and Coordination Assistance: Act as the first point of review for external agency work, setting quality benchmarks and providing timely feedback. Support agency coordination by tracking outcomes, deadlines, and deliverables. Community Engagement: Monitor social media comments, direct messages, and engagement to ensure a positive online presence. Escalate issues or critical communications to the India Communications team when required. Skills & Capabilities Strong communication: Excellent writing and editing skills, with the ability to draft engaging and concise content. Creativity : Capability to develop engaging content across various platforms using text, visuals, and videos.Organization : Strong multitasking and time management skills to ensure timely delivery of tasks and projects. Collaborative approach: Willingness to work closely with teams, follow guidance, and collaborate with internal and external stakeholders. Social media savvy: Hands-on experience with platforms like LinkedIn, X, and Instagram. Trend awareness: An aptitude for staying updated on digital communication trends and audience preferences. Basic analytics: Familiarity with social media insights tools (e.g., platform-native analytics or tools like Hootsuite) to track performance and make recommendations. Preferred Work Experience Relevant work experience working in managing social media, communications, or content creation roles (ideally, 12 months + of collective work experience). Exposure to working within fast-paced environments like public relations, digital marketing, or internal communications teams. Exposure to coordinating, and working with, a diverse set of stakeholders. Prior experience managing or supporting professional social media accounts is a strong advantage.
