About the role: Are you a passionate and driven leader with a heart for social change? Project Safety is a nonprofit dedicated to empowering underprivileged women and girls who are vulnerable to crime and domestic violence. We provide essential self-defense and safety practices, including classes on good touch and bad touch, menstrual hygiene, social-emotional learning, and physical training. We are seeking a dedicated Co-founder to help us build and scale our organization from the ground up. This is a unique opportunity to shape the future of Project Safety. As a Co-founder, you will work alongside the founder to develop and execute our vision, grow our network of partners, and secure funding to expand our reach and impact. Responsibilities: Strategic Planning: Collaborate on setting the strategic direction, goals, and long-term vision for Project Safety. Fundraising and Partnerships: Lead efforts to secure grants, sponsorships, and donations. Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including corporations, foundations, and community leaders. Operations Management: Oversee day-to-day operations, including program development, volunteer coordination, and financial management. Marketing and Outreach: Develop and implement a robust marketing and communication strategy to raise awareness about Project Safety and its mission. Team Building: Recruit, train, and manage a team of passionate volunteers and future staff members. Qualifications: Proven experience in a leadership role, preferably within the nonprofit sector or a startup environment. Strong understanding of fundraising, grant writing, and financial management. Excellent communication, interpersonal, and public speaking skills. A deep commitment to our mission of empowering women and girls.
