Project Manager-Rubrik

As a Project Manager-Rubrik, you will be responsible for the following key tasks: - Project Planning Management: Develop and maintain project plans, manage project scope, and oversee project execution from initiation to completion. - Backup DR Strategy: Design, implement, and manage comprehensive backup and disaster recovery strategies, including policies, procedures, and schedules. - Technical Oversight: Oversee the installation, configuration, and maintenance of backup and recovery software and hardware across on-premises and cloud environments. - Risk Management: Conduct risk assessments, identify potential threats like ransomware, and implement strategies for data protection such as immutable backups and air-gapping. - Testing Validation: Coordinate and lead regular disaster recovery testing, data restore drills, and validate that backup jobs are successful and data is retrievable. - Compliance: Ensure that backup and recovery processes comply with relevant regulatory and industry standards. - Team Stakeholder Coordination: Lead and motivate project teams, and collaborate effectively with IT security, facilities, and other business units. - Monitoring Reporting: Monitor backup systems, analyze operational metrics, and provide regular reports to executive leadership on performance risks and recovery status. Key Skills and Qualifications required for this role include: - Project Management: Proven ability to manage complex projects, including budget management, risk mitigation, and stakeholder communication. - Technical Expertise: In-depth knowledge of backup and recovery software (e.g., Commvault, Veeam), cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure), and storage technologies. - Disaster Recovery Business Continuity: Experience in developing and maintaining disaster recovery and business continuity plans. - Risk Assessment Cyber Resilience: Strong ability to assess risks and build solutions to protect data against cyber threats like ransomware. - Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills for clear reporting and effective team leadership. - Problem-Solving: Ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues and develop practical solutions. - Industry Frameworks: Solid understanding of IT Service Management (ITSM) frameworks such as ITIL.
