Description
As a Project Engineer at vConstruct, your role involves creating Building Information Models (BIMs) for commercial construction projects using Virtual Construction and Design (VDC) tools and methods. You will be responsible for developing schematic level and detailed models, producing dimensioned drawings, preparing Shop Drawing level 3D models, and developing high-end renderings and walk-throughs of 3D and 4D BIM. Your ability to perform Quality Checks on the Models, compare 2D and 3D data, and visualize progress in 3D will be crucial. Additionally, you should be able to communicate effectively with project teams based in the USA during evening hours on an as-needed basis. Key Responsibilities: - Develop schematic level and detailed models based on parametric or solid objects - Produce dimensioned drawings and Shop Drawing level 3D models - Create high-end renderings and walk-throughs of 3D and 4D BIM - Perform Quality Checks on the Models and compare 2D and 3D data - Visualize progress in 3D and communicate with project teams in the USA during evening hours - Manage BIM content for mobile devices like iPads - Analyze and modify data from BIM in tools like MS Excel spreadsheet - Illustrate contractor questions and possible solutions using 3D models Qualifications Required: - Bachelor's degree or higher in Civil Engineering, Architecture, Construction Management, or a related field - Minimum 2 years of experience in virtual design and construction - Proficiency in Revit Suite of products (Revit Architecture, Revit Structure, Revit MEP) - Basic understanding of architectural, structural, mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and civil construction documents - Experience in Navisworks is a plus - Knowledge of construction management issues - Ability to work independently, excellent communication skills, and strong problem-solving abilities Good to have: - Proficiency in rendering tools like Adobe Flash, Adobe After Effects, and Adobe Photoshop - Experience in Autodesk 3Ds Max, Autodesk Maya, AutoCAD, Tekla, Synchro, Solibri, Google SketchUp, Vico, and Innovaya vConstruct specializes in providing high-quality Building Information Modeling and Construction Technology services for construction projects and is a wholly owned subsidiary of DPR Construction.
