Project Engineer_ Revit Modeler

You are vConstruct, seeking a Project Engineer with at least 2+ years of commercial construction experience. As a Project Engineer, your role involves creating Building Information Models (BIMs) for commercial construction projects using Virtual Construction and Design (VDC) tools and methods. Your responsibilities include developing schematic and detailed models based on parametric or solid objects, including structure, interior, and exterior architectural elements. In some cases, you may also create models for building systems such as mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems. You will produce dimensioned drawings for layout and pre-fabrication from the models and prepare Shop Drawing level 3D models for concrete forms and wall frame detailing. Additionally, you will develop high-end renderings and walk-throughs of BIMs for proposals, construction site logistics visualization, and contractor questions. You will perform Quality Checks on the models to ensure completeness, alignment with design documents, and accuracy. You will also compare 2D and 3D data to track changes over time and visualize progress in 3D using progress reports. To qualify for this position, you should have a Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Architecture, Construction Management, or a related field, with at least 2 years of experience in virtual design and construction. Proficiency in Revit Suite of products, BIM authoring, and Navisworks is required. Knowledge of various construction management issues and the ability to work independently with strong communication skills are essential. It is beneficial to have experience in rendering tools such as Adobe Flash, Adobe After Effects, Adobe Photoshop, Autodesk 3Ds Max, and Autodesk Maya. Familiarity with AutoCAD-based products, Tekla, Synchro, Solibri, Google SketchUp, Vico, and Innovaya is also advantageous. vConstruct specializes in providing high-quality Building Information Modeling and Construction Technology services for construction projects.
