Description
As a Software Developer at UST in Bangalore, you will be responsible for developing applications by selecting appropriate technical options, optimizing application development, maintenance, and performance. Your role will involve interpreting application feature and component designs, coding, debugging, testing, and documenting product development stages. Your contributions will include validating results, selecting technical options for development, and optimizing efficiency, cost, and quality. Additionally, you will be expected to influence and improve customer satisfaction and employee engagement within project teams. You will be required to adhere to engineering processes and standards, project schedules, and timelines. Your responsibilities will also include identifying technical issues, defects in the code, post-delivery defects, and non-compliance issues. You will play a key role in ensuring on-time completion of mandatory compliance trainings. In this role, you will be expected to create code as per the design, define coding standards, review code for team and peers, and create/review templates, checklists, guidelines, and standards for design/process/development. You will also contribute to the configuration management plan, oversee configuration compliance, review/create unit test cases and scenarios, and provide clarifications to the testing team. Your domain relevance will involve advising software developers on design and development, learning about customer domains, and completing relevant domain certifications. You will be responsible for supporting project managers, managing delivery of modules, managing complex user stories, performing defect RCA and mitigation, identifying defect trends, and estimating effort and size for projects. As part of your role, you will be expected to consume and contribute to project-related documents, review reusable documents created by the team, execute and monitor release processes, and contribute to the creation of designs/architecture for applications, features, business components, and data models. You will also interface with customers, manage teams, obtain relevant certifications, and demonstrate various skills such as communicating with customers, evaluating test results, breaking down complex problems, and managing a team effectively. Requirements/Qualifications: - 3 to 8 years of Progress 4GL Development experience - Prior experience in HTML, CSS, Javascript, and XML - Good understanding of PostgresSQL database programming - Experience with Progress OpenEdge Architecture is desirable - Design, develop, and maintain high-performance, scalable Java - Springboot and Hibernate experience is desirable - Experience with n-tier applications and Classic/PASOE App servers - Excellent communication skills and team player Nice to have: - Prior experience in Javascript concepts like VUE Js and Jquery - Prior experience in writing ABL automated test cases - Prior Experience in Unix/Linux development,
