Programme cum Legal Officer

Key Responsibilities:

· Legal: Draft, manage, and represent the organization in legal cases across courts and tribunals.

· Drafting: Prepare reports, proposals, case studies, etc. to ensure compliance of project requirements

· Coordination: Engage with survivors, raise awareness, build relationships, support advocacy, and document challenges with the legal team.

· Programme Management: Track project progress, identify opportunities for program improvement and recommend strategies to enhance goal achievement, collaborate with team, and represent the organization at meetings and events

· Research: Conduct legal as well as non-legal research to explore potential opportunities for the organization

Qualifications:

· Bachelor's degree in law

· 2-5 years’ experience in appearing before all courts/ tribunals and drafting documents including petitions, representations, complaints, etc.

· Strong organizational and coordination skills.

· Excellent interpersonal and communication abilities.

· Understanding of the challenges faced by survivors of acid attack and gender-based violence and a strong commitment to human rights and social justice.

· Proficiency in legal knowledge, writing skills, data management and reporting.
