Your responsibilities will include developing and implementing comprehensive test plans and test cases, as well as preparing mock data for executing user stories for both positive and negative test cases. You will also be involved in setting up data for integrated testing and contributing to the development and maintenance of automated testing scripts. Writing test automation scripts using SOAP utilities or Rest Assured, executing them manually or automatically using Jenkin, and setting up a CICD process for automated test case execution are key aspects of the role. Additionally, you will collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and resolve software defects, work with the development team to address issues and retest, provide demos to stakeholders for approval before release, and ensure software certification according to standards and business requirements. Keeping JIRA and time entries updated for QA work, researching and prototyping additions and changes to ESF product, applying best practices in quality assurance, participating in peer reviews, and contributing to continuous improvement initiatives are also part of your responsibilities. Basic qualifications for this role include a Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, an associate degree in Computer Programming, or equivalent education in a related discipline. Substitution of related work experience for educational requirements is possible. Ideal candidates should have at least 6 years of experience testing technical solutions, 2+ years of experience in automation testing, and 2+ years of experience in performance testing. Preferred skills and experience include creativity, self-motivation, problem-solving skills, the ability to analyze various technologies, effective communication and writing skills, multitasking capabilities, and strong analytical skills. Experience in manual and automation testing of Java applications and RestAPIs, familiarity with tools like Postman and SOAP API, proficiency in RestAssured, knowledge of Groovy or Python, understanding of security testing practices, and certification in software testing methodologies are desirable qualifications.
