Production Manager

We are looking for an experienced and responsible Production Manager to oversee daily food production operations, manage the production team, maintain product quality and ensure timely production as per business requirements. The candidate should have strong knowledge of food production planning, inventory management, manpower handling, hygiene standards and operational efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

1. Production Planning & Execution

• Plan and schedule daily production based on sales requirements and orders.
• Ensure timely production and dispatch of all products.
• Monitor production output and maintain daily production targets.
• Coordinate with the purchase, warehouse, sales and operations teams.
• Ensure optimum utilisation of raw materials, equipment and manpower.

2. Team & Manpower Management

• Supervise production staff, chefs, helpers and other kitchen employees.
• Allocate daily responsibilities and manage shift schedules.
• Train employees on production procedures, hygiene and safety standards.
• Monitor employee attendance, productivity and performance.
• Maintain discipline and ensure smooth coordination within the team.

3. Quality Control & Food Safety

• Ensure consistent product quality, taste, texture and presentation.
• Monitor raw material quality and finished product standards.
• Implement food safety, hygiene and sanitation procedures.
• Ensure compliance with applicable FSSAI requirements.
• Monitor storage conditions, temperature controls and product shelf life.
• Maintain proper cleaning and sanitation schedules.

4. Inventory & Cost Control

• Monitor raw material consumption and maintain stock records.
• Minimise food wastage and production losses.
• Follow FIFO/FEFO inventory practices.
• Coordinate with the purchase team for timely raw material requirements.
• Monitor production costs and identify opportunities to reduce expenses.
• Ensure proper usage and maintenance of production equipment.

5. Reporting & Documentation

• Maintain daily production reports and material consumption records.
• Track production targets, wastage, stock and employee productivity.
• Report operational issues and production deviations to management.
• Maintain quality inspection and hygiene records.
• Prepare daily, weekly and monthly production performance reports.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or diploma in Food Technology, Hotel Management, Food Production or a related field preferred.
• 4–7 years of experience in food production, central kitchen, bakery, FMCG or food manufacturing operations.
• Strong knowledge of food production processes and quality control.
• Good team management and leadership skills.
• Knowledge of inventory management, costing and wastage control.
• Ability to plan production and manage multiple activities.
• Basic computer knowledge and Excel reporting skills.
• Strong problem-solving and communication skills.

Pay: ₹20,000.00 - ₹40,000.00 per month
