We are looking for an experienced and proactive Production Manager to oversee our end-to-end manufacturing operations and establish efficient, quality-driven production processes.

Role Overview

The Production Manager will be responsible for managing and coordinating the entire production lifecycle of mono cartons and corrugated boxes, from procurement of raw materials to manufacturing, quality inspection, finishing, packing, and final dispatch.

The candidate will ensure that all production activities are carried out efficiently, cost-effectively, and in accordance with established quality standards and delivery schedules.

Key Responsibilities

1. End-to-End Production Management

• Oversee the complete production process for mono cartons and corrugated boxes.
• Coordinate all stages of manufacturing, including printing, lamination, UV coating, die-cutting, punching, creasing, pasting, stitching, and finishing, wherever applicable.
• Plan and allocate production schedules based on order requirements and delivery commitments.
• Monitor production progress and ensure optimum utilisation of manpower, machinery, and resources.
• Identify production bottlenecks and implement corrective measures to improve efficiency.

2. Quality Control & Assurance

• Establish and implement quality checkpoints at every stage of the production process.
• Ensure incoming raw materials meet the required specifications and quality standards.
• Inspect printing quality, colour consistency, lamination, die-cutting accuracy, pasting, dimensions, and structural strength.
• Conduct in-process inspections to identify and minimise defects, rejections, and material wastage.
• Ensure finished products meet approved samples, specifications, and customer requirements.
• Maintain quality inspection records and implement corrective and preventive actions.

3. Procurement & Inventory Management

• Coordinate with vendors and suppliers for timely sourcing of paperboard, duplex board, corrugated sheets, inks, adhesives, laminates, and other production materials.
• Ensure raw materials are procured in accordance with production schedules and order requirements.
• Monitor inventory levels and maintain adequate stock of essential materials.
• Negotiate with suppliers to achieve competitive pricing without compromising on quality.
• Develop and maintain strong vendor relationships.
• Avoid production delays arising from material shortages or procurement inefficiencies.

4. Dispatch & Delivery Management

• Coordinate with the production, packaging, and logistics teams to ensure timely completion and dispatch of orders.
• Monitor order status and ensure adherence to committed delivery timelines.
• Plan dispatch schedules and coordinate transportation arrangements.
• Ensure finished goods are properly inspected, packed, labelled, and dispatched.
• Maintain communication with the sales and customer-facing teams regarding production progress and delivery status.

5. Process Improvement & Cost Optimisation

• Identify opportunities to reduce production costs, material wastage, and operational inefficiencies.
• Standardise production processes and introduce systematic quality-control procedures.
• Maintain production records, job cards, material consumption reports, and daily production reports.
• Monitor production efficiency, rejection rates, material utilisation, and turnaround time.
• Recommend improvements in manufacturing methods, workflow, and resource allocation.

6. Team & Vendor Coordination

• Supervise production workers and coordinate with machine operators, supervisors, vendors, and external job-work units.
• Ensure clear communication of job specifications, production priorities, and quality requirements.
• Monitor workforce productivity and ensure accountability at every stage.
• Coordinate effectively with management, procurement, sales, and dispatch teams.

Required Skills & Competencies

• Strong understanding of printing, packaging, and carton manufacturing processes.
• Knowledge of mono carton and corrugated box production.
• Understanding of paperboard grades, GSM, BF, bursting strength, flute types, and other packaging specifications.
• Strong quality-control and problem-solving capabilities.
• Excellent production planning, procurement, and inventory management skills.
• Ability to coordinate multiple production activities simultaneously.
• Strong vendor negotiation and team management skills.

The candidate will be evaluated on:

• Adherence to production schedules and delivery commitments.
• Quality consistency and reduction in rejection rates.
• Reduction in material wastage and production costs.
• Timely procurement and availability of raw materials.
• Efficient utilisation of manpower and machinery.
• Accuracy of production planning and inventory management.
• Customer satisfaction and reduction in quality-related complaints.

Ideal Candidate: We are looking for a hands-on, detail-oriented professional who can take complete ownership of production operations, ensure stringent quality control at every stage, and build a systematic and efficient manufacturing environment at Manish Prints.

Pay: ₹18,000.00 - ₹40,000.00 per month
