Production Manager For PVC company - Lasundra (Gujrat)

Role: To lead and manage all production operations ensuring efficient resource utilization, consistent product quality, timely deliveries, cross-departmental coordination, cost and compliance with industry standards. Key Responsibilities and Corresponding Activities: Production Planning & Scheduling Collaborate with planners to align production with customer orders. Adjust daily/fortnightly schedules as needed. Resource Optimization Allocate machines, manpower, and raw materials effectively. Plan shift-wise workloads and optimize machine utilization. Quality Assurance Implement and monitor quality control checks. Liaise with QA/QC to ensure minimal rejections and high product standards. Downtime & Maintenance Management Coordinate preventive maintenance schedules. Monitor breakdowns and analyze root causes for resolution along with Maintenance Department. Process & Productivity Improvement Apply Lean Manufacturing practices (5S, Kaizen, Value Stream Mapping). Eliminate production inefficiencies. Team Leadership & Supervision Supervise and motivate production teams. Conduct training, evaluations, and team briefings. KPI Monitoring & Reporting Track and analyze key production KPIs (OEE, waste, cycle time). Provide regular dashboards and reports to management. Safety & Compliance Enforcement Ensure compliance with safety standards and legal regulations. Conduct audits and maintain workplace safety culture. Interdepartmental Coordination Work closely with Sales & Marketing to understand order priorities and delivery timelines. Coordinate with Planning, Procurement, Dispatch, and Maintenance to ensure smooth production flow. Cost Control & Budget Adherence Track production costs and material usage. Support initiatives to reduce overheads and enhance cost-efficiency. Qualifications & Skills Required Educational Qualifications: Bachelors Degree in Mechanical/Production Engineering or related field. Experience: 10 to 12 years of experience in manufacturing operations and having worked with Extrusion Industry or Polymer Industry. Skills and competencies: Strong knowledge of production planning, plant operations, lean manufacturing, and team leadership. Proficiency in Hindi, Gujarati and English (both verbal and written). Proficiency in SAP, ERP systems, Excel, production dashboards, and reporting tools. Excellent communication ability, leadership, teamwork, decision making, Analytical ability and problem-solving skills.
