Production Engineer (Optical Draw Tower)

Job Description

Key Responsibilities: Operate and manage the Optical Draw Tower in the production of optical fiber cables. Ensure smooth running of the optical fiber drawing process, focusing on the accurate diameter, tension, and speed control of the fiber. Monitor the coating process, ensuring uniform coating and correct curing in the coating floor area. Troubleshoot and resolve operational issues related to the draw tower, such as fiber breakage, coating defects, and equipment malfunctions. Perform regular equipment checks and maintenance to ensure optimum performance of the draw tower. Collaborate with the production team to ensure high-quality standards in the fiber optic cable production process. Ensure adherence to safety guidelines, standards, and environmental regulations during operations. Prepare and maintain daily production reports, documenting any issues or deviations from the standard process. Assist in the setup and adjustment of machinery to meet specific production requirements. Continuously monitor the production process and suggest improvements for efficiency and quality enhancement. Hands-on experience in operating Optical Draw Towers or related equipment in an optical fiber cable manufacturing plant is highly preferred. Experience with troubleshooting and maintenance of machinery and equipment is an advantage.
