Job Title : Executive - Plant Technology Location : Chennai Office Reports to (Position) : Manager Department/Function : Plant Technology Purpose of the Job : Responsible for Develop and control the plant specific curing product spec, process spec, machine setup spec, in-process standards & inspection standards. Ensure product and process quality. Initiate, validate and control the process changes. Lead the process and product quality improvements in curing. Industrialize new equipment s. Authorize the disposition of nonconforming cured tyre. Coordination with corporate technology to industrialize new products. Evaluate and approve new RM sources related with tyre curing. Provide technical, product quality training to manufacturing team. Major Responsibilities : 1. Develop and control the Specifications and standards: Develop plant specific Product spec related with curing, Process spec, Machine setup spec, in-process standards, inspection standards and control it. 2. Overview and ensure product and process quality: Ensure the process is operating within the specified norms and enforce product quality. Initiate, validate and Control the process changes. Lead the process and product quality improvements 3. New equipment industrialization: Establishment the process in new machines, validation and periodic revalidations. 4. Coordinate with corporate technology to industrialize new products. 5 Evaluate and approve new RM sources: Evaluate and approve new RM sources related with tyre curing . 6. Control of curing Support manufacturing in the reduction of cured tyre defects and scraps. 7. Provide technology leadership in trouble shooting, process improvements and plant efficiency improvements. 8. Provide technical , product quality training to manufacturing team members Skills : Strong knowledge in Heat Engineering, Moulding, Rubber technology, Tyre engineering and Quality systems Relevant Experience : above 3 years in Tyre curing
