Job Description

As a senior strategist in Product Planning and Innovation for the skin care business, you will have the exciting opportunity to lead the end-to-end product pipeline, including white-space concepting, consumer insights, assortment architecture, and new-concept incubation for the rapidly growing skin-care portfolio. Your role is crucial in converting market intelligence into innovative product pipelines, collaborating closely with R&D, Brand, and Regulatory teams to deliver trend-right innovations efficiently. Key Responsibilities: - Define and implement the assortment & portfolio strategy for skincare globally and establish robust systems for identifying opportunity areas. - Stay updated on emerging trends in skin care ingredients and technologies to create breakthrough assortments. Develop processes to translate insights into actionable plans. - Conduct market research to pinpoint gaps, emerging trends, and new innovations, integrating them into the product strategy effectively. - Collaborate with Brand and R&D teams to identify winning claims and product positioning globally during concept development. Translate insights into comprehensive product briefs and oversee the product development journey. - Lead cross-functional stage-gate reviews to ensure scalable, compliant, and margin-accretive concepts for global roll-out. Evaluate product efficacy based on claims, feedback, clinical reports, and benchmarks. - Recruit, develop, and motivate a high-performing team of insight analysts, competitive intelligence specialists, and concept managers. Foster a data-driven, experimentation culture with advanced AI tools and automation. - Establish a team for consumer insights, competitive intelligence, and concept development, enhancing capabilities in research, analysis, and review. Skills Required: - Strategic Leadership: You should have over 15 years of experience in global skin care innovation with full cycle ownership. - Technical Expertise: Possess regulatory and ingredient chemistry knowledge to provide insights on claims development, clinical efficacy, and regulatory compliance. - Analytical Proficiency: Utilize a data-driven approach for consumer insights and product decisions, coupled with a deep understanding of marketing models and tools. - Experience: Ideal candidates will have 12-18 years of experience in leading CPG companies, focusing on product innovation strategy and planning. A Ph.D. in chemistry, pharmacognosy, or related field, along with an MBA from a reputable institute, is preferred.,
