Product Owner

Job Purpose

This role primarily focuses on Product Design and Research. The Product Owner will translate business needs into actionable product features and ensure their successful execution from concept to launch. The role requires deep research capabilities to drive strategic advantage, along with strong design and prototyping skills to build user-centric products.

Key Responsibilities

1.

Product Planning & Requirement Analysis

Develop and maintain a product roadmap aligned with business goals and customer expectations.

Define clear objectives, deliverables, and success metrics in collaboration with stakeholders.

Translate business needs into detailed user stories, functional requirements, and technical specifications.

Prioritize product features based on market relevance, feasibility, and strategic impact.

Market Research & Customer Insights

Conduct comprehensive market research, competitor analysis, and trend identification.

Engage with customers through interviews, surveys, and focus groups to gather insights and validate concepts.

Analyze customer behaviour and segmentation to refine product positioning and value proposition.

Convert research insights into actionable product strategies and innovations.

User Experience & Design Integration

Create wireframes, prototypes, and user journey maps to design intuitive and engaging interfaces.

Work closely with UI/UX designers and engineering teams to ensure user-centric design implementation.

Conduct usability testing to identify gaps and optimize user experience.

Ensure consistency in design standards, branding, and functionality across all platforms.

Stakeholder Collaboration & Delivery Management

Act as the liaison between business leaders, clients, design teams, and developers to ensure clarity and collaboration.

Manage product requirements while balancing business objectives and technical constraints.

Monitor development progress, milestones, and delivery timelines.

Ensure timely and high-quality product releases that meet customer expectations.

Continuous Learning & Process Adherence

Use analytics, user feedback, and emerging technologies to improve product performance.

Stay updated with industry trends, tools, and best practices to drive innovation.

Promote a culture of experimentation, learning, and continuous improvement.

Adhere to company SOPs and contribute to special initiatives supporting business growth.

Required Knowledge

Bachelors degree in Business, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.

Proven experience 2-4 years as a Product Owner, Business Analyst, or in a similar role.

Strong understanding of Agile/Scrum methodologies.

Excellent communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills.

Ability to translate complex requirements into clear user stories and actionable tasks.

Analytical mindset with strong problem-solving skills.

Experience working with product management tools (e.g., Jira, Trello, Azure DevOps).

Educational Qualification

B. Tech/B.E. in any stream; Computer Science or IT is preferrable.

Master’s degree or MBA will be an added advantage.
