Product Development Design Engineer (mechanical)

Role Overview: You will be joining thyssenkrupp nucera as a Product Development Design Engineer, where you will be responsible for developing innovative solutions for electrolysis equipment, focusing on green hydrogen products. Your main tasks will involve designing and implementing cost-effective solutions, collaborating with internal and external partners, and ensuring the successful transition from prototype to production stage. Key Responsibilities: - Develop innovative solutions for electrolysis equipment, including green hydrogen products, electrolyzer equipment, piping, and steel structures - Create 3D models and product drawings for development programs and product change implementation - Identify and implement improvements to existing and new products - Drive product care and implementation engineering activities, design modifications, and update technical documentation - Coordinate with internal and external partners for development programs and technical discussions - Conduct verification and validation tests for products, subsystems, and components - Analyze test results, prepare presentations, and report to business leaders Qualification Required: - University degree in mechanical engineering or a related field - Minimum of 8 years of experience in product development and mechanical design solutions - Proficiency in 3D and 2D CAD tools, as well as modern PDM/PLM systems (preferably NX and Teamcenter) - Basic experience in mechanical simulation and modeling (FEM/CFD is an asset) - Strong analytical thinking skills and ability to identify development opportunities Company Details: thyssenkrupp nucera is a leading provider of high-efficiency electrolysis plants with a strong track record of successful projects in the clean energy industry.
